November Events ~ 2014

Here is a list of our November Events. Check out the Calendar for other community events at our Parish Hall.

Spaghetti Supper ~ Mark your calendars! The annual spagetti supper is at the Parish Hall on Wednesday, November 5th from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. Adults ~ 7.00, Kids under 10 ~ 3.00

Diocese Annual Synod ~ November 6 – 8th, Norma Baird, Lee Cox and myself will be in attendance!

Late Harvest Simply Slow Cooking & Dental Screening Clinic ~ In partnership with our parish, Ottawa Public Health and other community partners a free health event highlighting healthy eating, learning about Slow Cooking and dental care! Saturday, November 8th ~ Dental Screening from 11am – Noon, Food Demo from Noon – 1pm. Free to all! The first 15 families will receive fresh produce compliments of the Good Food Box

Remembrance Day Service at the Diefenbunker ~ I will participate in the Annual Remembrance Service at the Diefenbunker. The service begins at 10:50am and is followed by a tour of the bunker. It is a FREE event.

Youth Formation Night ~ Please remember that our first Youth Formation night (mandatory for Confirmation candidates) is on Monday, November 17th at the Parish Hall (3774 Carp Road). We will start right at 7pm and will be finished by 8:30pm that evening.

Three Cantors Coming to Carp ~  On Wednesday, November 19th the Anglican Parish of Huntley is in for a treat! We welcome the Three Cantors for a concert at 7:30pm to continue the 125th Anniversary Celebration of St. James Anglican Church. Tickets can be reserved through the Parish Office at 613-839-3195 or via email at huntleyoffice@bellnet.ca. There are only 100 tickets available at a cost of $20.00 each.

CarpConnect ~  The next meeting of CarpConnect is Monday, November 24th at the Parish Hall. This is a group of organizations and individuals who get together once a month to talk about activities, opportunities and challenges that are happening in Carp. Tackle the Text ~ We will gather together to look at the readings for the first Sunday of Advent. Please join in at the Parish Hall at 7pm on November 26th.
