All are called to strengthen and transform throughout their spiritual life.  At the Parish of Huntley we provide a variety of opportunities for people of all ages to develop our understanding of what it means to be a Christian in this place at this time.

Examples of our previous activities:

  • Six week Lenten Study programs
  • Family & Community Workshops
  • Back to School Open House highlighting Back to School healthy snacks and inviting community members to visit the new Daily Bread Garden
  • Hosted a Mental Health First Aid Course in partnership with the Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre
  • Instigated a new Sunday program in September 2013 called ‘A Place for All’
  • Held the Hunger Games Study and Hunger Games Eucharist for all youth
  • Helped create a new Advent & Nativity Mixed Media Art Installation demonstrating the story of Christ through the story of materialism
  • Increased the number of intergenerational services to ensure younger parishioners are fully participating in the full Eucharistic Liturgy on a regular basis
  • Provided leadership at the West Carleton Secondary School Leadership Camp
  • Provided baptismal and marriage preparation for parishioners

Continued Goals:

  • To continue to create unique opportunities for people of all ages to strengthen their discipleship through education and participation
  • To continue to provide Family opportunities on days other than Sunday
  • To provide, if requested, a Confirmation and Faith Strengthening program for our younger teens in the Spring of 2014
  • To launch a Spiritual Drumming Workshop in Spring 2014
  • To support baptismal, marriage, and journey education through group and one-on-one educational meetings
